Press Officer & Communication
Press Officer, member since 2005 Order of Journalists of Piedmont, Marta Franceschetti took care of the press office of several national and international film festivals, including: Turin Film Festival (2004-2014), CinemAmbiente (since 2009), Sottodiciotto – Aiace Torino (from 2010), Gran Paradiso Film Festival in Cogne (from 2011), View Fest (in 2008). It follows, always as press officier, a variety of events and film at the International Venice Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival (which has a branch in the city of her office). It also works in cultural activities and events organized by the University of Turin (Dams and Communication Sciences) and by RAI Italian Radio and Television. While the experience with the TFF has worked with Nanni Moretti, Gianni Amelio, Paolo Virzì.
Follows, as a freelance, the press office for various film institutions at local, national and international Festival linked to the National Museum of Cinema in Turin, Turin Media Antenna (now Creative Europe Desk Turin), Multimedia Cinema Marche, Sardinia Film Foundation Commission, organized by the Italian Prix 2008 in Turin (continuously every September) by RAI Italian Radio and Television (director Paolo Morawski) and printing film previews of most Italian films that are presented in his hometown of belonging (Torino): Gabriele Salvatores, Ferzan Ozpetek and Roberto Faenza are just some of the directors who have supported her for the promotion of their films in the Savoy capital.
Led by a strong interest in environmental issues, which previously led her to collaborate with CinemAmbiente, form 2015 follows the press office of two projects for which background Green organized the respective press conferences that were held in Turin in June 2015: a car pooling service at the Piedmont – based on energy savings – and a campaign against food waste organized by the Piedmont Region and the Region of Val D’Aosta.
In collaboration with Maria Grazia Balbiano (www.mariagraziabalbiano.com), in 2014 she wrote the book, published by Editions Cartman “Spettabile redazione, l’ufficio stampa tra media relations and fair play” and, from 2011 to 2014, she edited the press office for the Barolo Auction, held every spring on the Langhe hills. In this context, it could come in contact with entrepreneurs Accademia del Barolo.
She collaborates with various newspapers. In particular, since 2002, she writes for the magazine Professional Audiovisual “Cinema & Video International” based in Florence, directed by Paolo Di Maira (published in English and Italian), present in all the events and international markets in the audiovisual sector. From 2015 she started a collaboration with the magazine “Young Parents” distributed in Piedmont and Lombardy.
Previously she worked for 8 years in Turin, Rome and Milan in two cinematographic societies: Harold Productions (which produced, among others, the first success of Marco Ponti “Santa Maradona”) and CIDIF Productions, alongside Maurizio Nichetti. In the first case she was assistant to the executive producer dealing personally financing the cinema and audiovisual productions, in her role as Milan took care of co-productions, moving between Milan, Cannes, Venice and Rome. In that time were several collaborations with realities related to the audiovisual sector and the documentary (Doc \ It – National Association of Italian documentary filmmakers, DocInEurope – workshop for documentary filmmakers, directors and independent producers with films and audiovisual products to promote).
Degree in Communication Techniques (Faculty of Arts & Humanities of Turin). She attended the Master in Multimedia Communication organized by COREP – Politecnico di Torino and attended an internship at the Université de Savoie – University of Jacob Bellecombette – CEFI (Centre d’Etudes Franco-Italiennes).
